Bulletyn (“Bulletyn,” “we,” “us”) operates readbulletyn.com, a personalized daily news brief delivered by email with a web dashboard and archive. Questions about this policy or your data? Write to hello@readbulletyn.com.

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile details Google shares. We use your verified email to identify your subscription. We never see or store your Google password.

Your preferences. The role, focus, geography, topics, delivery email, and the interests and instructions you give us in your own words to tailor your brief (including anyone or anything you ask us to track or avoid).

Delivery and usage. The briefs we generate for you, whether each was delivered, and basic engagement (such as whether a brief was opened) so we can tell the service is working and improve relevance.

We use your information solely to build and deliver your personalized daily brief: to select and rank news against your stated interests (which we represent as mathematical “embeddings” for matching), to summarize it, to email it to you, and to operate core functions like sign-in and support.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.

We use a small set of infrastructure providers strictly to run Bulletyn, sharing only what each needs to function:

• Google — sign-in (OAuth).
• Amazon Web Services — hosting, database, email delivery (Amazon SES), and AI summarization (Amazon Bedrock).
• Cloudflare — an edge relay used to fetch public news content.

Article text sent to the AI summarization step is publicly available news content, not your personal data.

We keep your profile and briefs while your subscription is active. Unsubscribing stops all further delivery immediately and preserves your past briefs and preferences in case you return. If you want your data deleted entirely, email hello@readbulletyn.comand we’ll remove it, usually within a few days.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

You can unsubscribe at any time from the link at the bottom of every brief or from your dashboard. To access, correct, export, or delete the information we hold about you, email hello@readbulletyn.comand we’ll take care of it.

Bulletyn is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent change; material changes will be reflected here.
